स्वागत छ
बृहत्तर बराहक्षेत्र धार्मिक, ऐतिहासिक, सांस्कृतिक र प्राकृतिक दृष्टिले समृद्ध पूर्वी नेपालको एक महत्वपूर्ण तीर्थक्षेत्र हो। यहाँ बराहक्षेत्र धाम, चतरा धाम, औलिया बाबा धाम, कोका–सप्तकोशी संगम र रामधुनी धामलगायत थुप्रै धार्मिक क्षेत्रहरू रहेका छन्, जहाँ वर्षभरि हजारौं भक्तजनहरूको आवागमन हुने गर्दछ।
बृहत्तर बराहक्षेत्र भन्नाले भगवान् श्री विष्णुले वराह रूपमा अवतार लिई दैत्यराज हिरण्याक्षबाट पृथ्वीको उद्धार गरिसकेपछि जुन स्थानमा निवास गर्नुभयो र आफ्ना विभिन्न अलौकिक लीलाहरू रचना गर्नुभयो, तिनै पवित्र क्षेत्रहरूको समष्टिगत स्वरूपलाई बुझाउँछ। विभिन्न शास्त्रीय मान्यता र पौराणिक वर्णन अनुसार यस पवित्र क्षेत्रको परिधि ८४ कोषको क्षेत्रफलमा फैलिएको छ।
नेपालको प्रसिद्ध चार धाममध्येको एक मुख्य बराहक्षेत्र धाम सुनसरी जिल्लाको बराहक्षेत्र नगरपालिकामा अवस्थित छ। तथापि, बृहत्तर बराहक्षेत्रले बराहक्षेत्र धामको आसपासमा रहेका अन्य छिमेकी जिल्ला र नगरपालिकाहरूका ऐतिहासिक एवं धार्मिक क्षेत्रहरूलाई समेत समेट्दछ। खासगरी पूर्वी नेपालका तीनवटा परिपूरक जिल्लाहरू सुनसरी, उदयपुर र धनकुटाका विभिन्न क्षेत्रहरू यस बृहत्तर बराहक्षेत्रको परिधिभित्र पर्दछन्।

Chairperson's Message
बृहत्तर बराहक्षेत्र नेपालकै सबैभन्दा पवित्र र ऐतिहासिक तीर्थक्षेत्रहरूमध्ये एक हो। यस समितिको तर्फबाट, वराहक्षेत्र, चतराधाम, पिण्डेश्वर, दन्तकाली लगायत यस क्षेत्रभित्र रहेका सम्पूर्ण धार्मिक, ऐतिहासिक र सांस्कृतिक सम्पदाहरूको संरक्षण, प्रवर्द्धन र योजनाबद्ध विकासका लागि हामी निरन्तर क्रियाशील रहेका छौं।
आगामी दिनहरूमा तीर्थयात्रीका लागि थप सुविधा विस्तार, पूर्वाधार सुधार र डिजिटल सेवाहरू सुदृढ गर्दै यस क्षेत्रलाई राष्ट्रिय तथा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा चिनाउने हाम्रो प्रतिबद्धता रहेको छ। यस पावन भूमिमा पाइला टेक्ने हरेक श्रद्धालुलाई हार्दिक स्वागत छ।

The committee's guiding principles for the preservation and sustainable development of Brihattar Barahakshetra.
Vision
To establish Brihattar Barahakshetra as a prosperous, safe, and well-managed religious-cultural pilgrimage site recognized at the national and international level.
Mission
To conserve and promote all religious, historical, and cultural heritage within the region while carrying out planned infrastructure development and providing quality services to pilgrims.

Major Dhams & Sacred Sites
Barahakshetra Dham
The main Varaha temple, one of Nepal's four great pilgrimage dhams.
Koka–Saptakoshi Confluence
A sacred river confluence for bathing, worship, and ancestral rites.
Pindeshwar
Temples of Shiva, Kali, Durga, Hanuman, Radha-Krishna and more.
Dantakali Temple
One of Nepal's 51 major Shakti Peethas, located on Vijayapur hill.
Budhasubba Temple
A shared Kirat–Hindu place of worship, famous for its tip-less bamboo.
Ramdhuni Dham
A sacred site associated with Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana.

Festivals & Celebrations
Thousands of devotees gather here during Makar Sankranti, Kartik Purnima, Rishi Panchami, Vyas Panchami, Ekadashi, and the great Kumbh Mela held once every 12 years.
Makar Sankranti Mela
The year's largest gathering, with thousands arriving for ritual bathing and worship in mid-January.
Koka–Saptakoshi Bathing Festival
Sacred ritual bathing at the river confluence during Kartik Purnima, Ekadashi, and other occasions.
Maha Kumbh Mela
A grand religious fair held once every 12 years, drawing pilgrims from Nepal and abroad.
